How did you hear about this project?

I was informed about this project by its Art Director, Neeti Pherwani. I cannot thank her enough for inviting me to be a part of this amazing collective effort.

What convinced you to participate?

Performing on stage, in front of an audience is something I live for. This play provides me with a great platform, being an experimental theatre piece, to witness the art of being an actor all over again. I am so grateful to Sonali for taking me on the journey of learning the processes of a theatre stage actor. Now, I believe, I will continue to learn new things. I was blown away the first time Sonali mentioned bringing 99 women on stage in a city like Pune. The training army including Neeti, Tulika, Vartika and Sharwa strengthened my resolve to take the first step.

What kind of woman are you?

I like to call myself a true Indian woman. Which for me means being simple, family-oriented, ambitious, beautiful and independent, all at the same time. My wonderful family ensures I’ll always be a housewife first. With my children having grown up, I devote more time fulfilling my passion for acting in theatre and learning new things. At the end of it, I believe in following my passions, keeping myself and those around me happy.
